On a cold and icy night in 1972, the Adirondack Bluegrass League (or ABL for short) was formed. The purpose was to form a family oriented organization that promoted and preserved bluegrass music in upstate New York.
Also, each month from October to April (with the exception of December) the ABL promotes bluegrass shows that are held at Molly’s Mason Jar, 13 Park Avenue Ext., Hadley, NY 12835. These events usually occur on the 4th Sunday of each month.
Our mission is to promote bluegrass music and local bands and musicians in a family oriented atmosphere within the Albany, Saratoga and north country regions of New York.
